This is the top level of the Self-Discipline Pyramid.
Self-Discipline Pyramid was designed by Villa, Thousand & Nevin (2010, p. 173).
Levels 4: Somewhere Else Plan & 5: Wraparound Support are really provided for students that need extra help learning how to discipline themselves. Many of those students will have an IEP that includes behavioral supports, with specified instructional strategies. Only a small percentage (1-5%) of your students will need these supports. Having a plan for what you can do will really benefit you and your students if a situation arises.
For Level 5, Wraparound Supports are for students that are in need of RTI supports, such as SST Meetings, behavior contracts ...

Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports
The U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) established the Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports to define, develop, implement, and evaluate a multi-tiered approach to Technical Assistance that improves the capacity of states, districts and schools to establish, scale-up and sustain the PBIS framework. Some literature refers to PBIS as PBS, Positive Behavior Supports, with the understanding that supports can include interventions. Access their website at www.PBIS.org
The Summer 2014 Special Edge latest issue is all on behavior support and has a section on restorative justice. A free downloadable issue will be available in Mid-Fall 2014 http://www.calstat.org/specialEdge.html

RTI now is know being transitioned to be called MTSS = Multi-Tiered System of Support, with the Students with Postive Behavior Support (PBS) on one side and academic on the other. You will see in the public report on page iv of the summer Special Edge, a nice connection of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and MTSS, as CCSS-MTSS. MTSS is just a more accurately naming label for RTI that people can understand better and does not get into the alternative LD eligiblity use of MTSS.
The http://www.districtadministration.com/article/multi-tier-system-supports is a brief 2011 MTSS explanation and the summer Special EDge has the nice California context of MTSS and CCSS. (see the next resource re: Special EDge)

The Summer 2014 Special Edge Issue is a nice complement to the disciple pyramid and creates a CA context. Last year, AB 86 removed the requirement for Behavior Intervention Plans in CA (the top of the pyramid) and adopted federal expectations for PBS plans.
